My body is a recording mechanism that holds a register of my walks in a place over time. I attach materials from each location to my walking boots and hands to hold residues of the textures of the ground, the repetition of footsteps and materials touched. These works form alternative maps holding an archive of the textures touched by foot and hand over many walks. The work sits between experimental drawing and printmaking. Many of the works are made with ancient earth pigments Bideford Black, ochres, oxides and clay foraged along the eroding UK Coast.
Dimensions variable.
